TWO PAPER DIVAS DESIGN TEAM CARD - Floral in a Milk Jar

Today's card is a combination of many decorative pieces:  The base card is embossed;  Then I die cut with my favorite two piece set;  One more die cut piece of which I stamped with a non Two Paper Diva writing stamp (need one Mel and Gayla - hint hint hint!!); Die cut one last layer of which I stamped the floral by Two Paper Divas on!

First Layer:  Base card (SU Vanilla) I ran through my Big shot with a vertical floral vine embossing folder.  I distressed it with SU Pixie Pink ink on just the edges.

Second Layer:   I cut piece of vanilla card stock 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 and ran it through my Big shot with the Mama Elephant Creative Cuts Femme Frames.  I have kept my set together and hence I cut the two pieces each time I use this die.  I save which ever piece I do not use (sometimes I do use both pieces on a card).  In the case of this card, I used the larger outer piece.  I lightly distressed the edge with the SU Pixie Pink ink on the edges.  Then I used a light run of Tombow Aqua Mono Liquid Glue and adhered this piece to the embossed piece.

Third Layer:  I cut another piece of vanilla card stock to accommodate the larger die from Avery Elle (Pinked Die) and then die cut it with my Big shot. This time I put down pieces of Eclipse Tape on the edge of the pinked card stock.  I wanted a definite straight edge along the inside edge of the pinked edge which would be left vanilla.  Then using my round distressing tool, I first picked up the SU Blushing Bride ink; then the SU Pretty in Pink and finished with a light coat of Pixie Pink in the center of this pinked edge card stock. Once again I used SU Pixie Pink on the distress tool and carefully edged the color on just the pinked edge. Now I stepped out of being a TWO PAPER DIVA DESIGN TEAM MEMBER and used a Hero Arts Stamp K5344 La Letter script stamp and stamped in SU Early Espresso Ink.  I think that it is in French but at any rate I cannot read it but it has been a go to favorite for about 5 years when I want this background.  It measures 2-3/4" x 4" and I love this size.  So now I send a message to Melissa and Gayla - Please brush up on your foreign language and design a stamp so I will be "legal" if I want to layer with a stamp like this!!!  To add this layer to the building of this card, I used dimensionals after the final layer and the ribbon have been added.

Fourth and Final Layer:  I have a full series of these lovely dies (?) and I used Distress Watercolor card stock this time because I wanted my Tombow Water Color Pens to be more true color.  I Die cut this piece first and without removing the die, I did a light coat of SU Pretty in Pink ink around the inside of the die cut piece.  Then I removed the die and love the white edge which is left.  Then I stamped the TWO PAPER DIVAS stamp of the Floral in the Milk jar from the set called  "Happy Mother's Day" and once my coloring was accomplished I stamped the Sentiment from that same set.  For the water, I used my light blue Copic Marker (B000).  This layer was applied to the third layer.  I colored my piece of cream color seam binding with the SU Pretty In Pink Ink and then tied the ribbon around this third and fourth layer.  One final step, I applied Glossy Accents to the flowers and the leaves.

So, now my afternoon Class will be making this card on Tuesday.  Happy Creating to ALL!!!

TWO PAPER DIVAS DESIGN TEAM CARD - Happy Birthday Cupcake!

Today's card is actually a three part photo to show how I created this card.  This is another TWO PAPER DIVA'S card.  I decided once again to showcase a Gatefold card to basically tell a story.  One of the NEW stamp sets from Two Paper Divas is the Canister set.  Now, I do not know about you but these Canisters could rest on my Counter.  I would have to recreate the color because I am a RED person but that is beside the point.  They are just way too cute!!  Bo Bunny has a darling 6 x 6 paper pad called " Rose Cafe' Collection" and right away I saw this grouping to go together.  Do not ask me why I chose to do glitter - I just did.  It is like follow the yellow brick road ..... but in blues!  I also had just received these flat sequins and decided they needed to be there as well.   Now once inside the card, one of the papers reminded me of a hand written recipe;  one looked like hand painted tiles; and next one the Cupcake Wrapper - looked like a Wrapper.  So that makes four of the Design Papers from Bo Bunny - with the one I used on the Canisters on the front of the card.  Sweet Collection of papers!!  It is fun when they just fall into place.

The three stamp sets from TWO PAPER DIVAS were the following:
